How to Upgrade to Lightroom Classic CC


I get many questions from students regarding the process of upgrading versions of Lightroom. While initially daunting, the process is super simple.

Before we start, it should be said that this video particularly relates to the process of upgrading to Lightroom Classic CC. However, all other version updates should be similar.

You want to start (as with all things) by backing up both your images and your catalog. If something bad happens along the way, you want to be sure you are protected. From there, the process consists of upgrading your application via the Adobe Creative Cloud application, upgrading your catalog, and finally, deleting the old version of your catalog.
