Well, hello to all of you post-St. Patrick’s Day celebrants! On March 17th, we had asked you to show us your true colors by posting any images you had of a green nature – or green beer – on our RMSP Facebook page. So where were you when we needed you, huh? You can’t tell us that your camera or phone isn’t just loaded with your exploits, or those of others, while in the “green” spirit. Okay, so perhaps you have very good reasons to keep them there. Fine. Now that it’s officially springtime, here’s another chance for you. With Mother Nature already and abundantly screaming green, we hope you hear (see?) her loud and clear. The assignment for April is Going Green! Do yourself a favor and celebrate a warming trend in your personal creative life by aiming at her favorite color with your camera.
Of course, green is a color that adorns many things such as U.S. currency or certain types of Mexican food, for example. Kermit the Frog croons about how it’s not so easy being of this color. To those looking for more of a challenge, we ask you, are there other ways to express the essence of green without resorting solely to much of life on Planet Earth? Maybe a quick intro about color theory will spark some unique ideas (Thinking of which primary colors make up this secondary one? Hmmm…). Well, to this we answer “yes!,” and if anyone can do so, it would be you, our uber-creative audience. Whatever your bent is, all we ask is that you bring the green!
Please send all submissions to email@example.com. As with last month’s assignment, we’ll ask you again to please send no more than three images.
All images should be:
• jpeg format
• 72 ppi
• 600 pixels on the longest side
• If possible, we’d love it if the images you submit have your name in the file name and include a watermark (that’s the “© John Doe” at the bottom of the pic).
April 24, 2012
Submitted images will appear in an online gallery on Paper Airplanes, RMSP’s blog on or about April 27, 2012. All images will be used in the online gallery for this specific assignment only and will be copyrighted to the photographer. An email confirmation will be sent once your submission is received. If you do not receive the email confirmation, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
