Surprisingly (but, you obviously know what you’re doing), your image does work; although, I’d probably crop off just a sliver (maybe 1/5-1/10) of the top. For me, the fog goes on a bit too long–without getting anywhere: without giving us anything more.
Living in the Bay Area, I’ve seen lots of fog & images of fog*; still, your’s has a good feel to it and is oddly inviting. I believe I could hang it and not quickly tire of it.
