Alumni Friday: Jami Saunders

Jami Saunders attended the Summer Intensive program in 2003. She was the type of student whose creativity and perspective inspired her fellow students and the staff. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York and photographs people. This includes weddings, kids, families, fashion, travel and more. Her images are stunning and have been featured in publications such as Brides, Merci and 100 Layer Cake to name a few.

Even more impressive than her work as a photographer is her photography and involvement in the non-profit, Kids of Kathmandu. Kids of Kathmandu is a non-profit organization that Jami and her husband recently started. It utilizes photography and the arts to raise awareness about the needs of orphans in Kathmandu, Nepal. It’s always inspiring to see a photographer use their skills and vision to help those who are less fortunate.
