Susanna Gaunt graduated from the Summer Intensive program in 1994 and went on to instruct for RMSP’s Workshops and Career Training programs for the following 10 years. In 2005 Susanna left RMSP to focus on motherhood, but never put the camera down. She has been creating amazing images while documenting her home life and the world around her. Her perspective on any subject, whether it is her son’s hair cut or an abandoned building, results in images with an honest beauty that resonate deeply.
Susanna’s image below, “Sad” was recently chosen by photographer Julie Blackmon for the PhotoPlace Gallery’s Home contest. Susanna states on her blog, “I am honored to be a part of a selection made by juror, Julie Blackmon. I have long admired her own interpretations of family life, i.e. Domestic Vacations.”
“Sad” is on view at the PhotoPlace Gallery in Vermont, from March 1-26, 2011. A blurb book has also been created from the Home Exhibition.
