Shout Out! Joe Lavine

Photo District News recently wrote an article about General Mills Photography Studio and their “Top Ten” program for food photographers. RMSP would like to congratulate Joe Lavine for being chosen as one of the top ten. Joe teaches The Art of Food Photography and studio lighting for RMSP’s Career Training program. He has been involved with the school for the past four years.  Joe’s exhibition Raw Relations is currently showing in the RMSP gallery. Congratulations Joe!

The General Mills Photography studio produces the images for brands like Betty Crocker, Yoplait, Häagen Dazs, Cheerios and Muir Glenn. There are 12 studios on site which are consistently in use by the 100 freelance photographers working there throughout the year. As a way to generate creativity and push the quality of images produced at the studios, they came up with the “Top Ten” program. This program brings in the photographers viewed as the top food photographers and stylists from around the country to work alongside the General Mills Studio’s group of freelancers.  Read the article and view work from the top ten photographers chosen.
